We wanted to create Women in Law Legal Insights to provide a platform where girls can explore legal issues, share their perspectives and engage in meaningful discussions about the law. Our aim is to encourage girls to develop their legal research, writing and critical thinking skills while gaining valuable experience in legal publication. Above all, we hope to amplify their voices, particularly those of aspiring women in law, and create opportunities for them to contribute to important legal conversations.
Founded by Donjeta Feka & Dea Dehari
Women in Law Legal Insights is a student-led initiative that provides girls with the opportunity to research, write and publish articles on legal topics they are passionate about.
Contributors are encouraged to submit original articles of 500–1,000 words with no photos, exploring legal developments, landmark cases, contemporary legal issues, gender equality, women’s experiences within the legal profession or any other area of law that interests them.
The initiative is designed to be accessible to writers of all experience levels, meaning no previous legal writing or publication experience is required.
All submissions will be reviewed by the Women in Law Society committee before publication to ensure clarity, accuracy and quality.
Once approved, articles will be published through our dedicated platform and shared on LinkedIn, with full credit given to each author.
Our goal is to create a supportive, collaborative environment where girls can strengthen their legal research, writing and analytical skills, build their professional portfolios and gain confidence in expressing their perspectives on important legal matters.
